Small Group Tuition
Small-group tuition combines expert teaching with the benefits of learning alongside others.
Students don't just listen, they discuss ideas, tackle challenging questions, explain their thinking and learn from each other's questions and misconceptions.
This creates opportunities that 1:1 tuition can't always provide. A student may hear a question they hadn't thought of, discover a different way of approaching a problem, or realise they have misunderstood a concept when listening to someone else explain it.
With small groups, every student receives individual questioning, feedback and support, while developing the confidence to apply their knowledge to exam questions.
It’s interactive, focused and exam-driven, combining personalised support with the valuable perspective of learning alongside peers, while offering excellent value for money.
Class sizes vary depending on ability and need, but are usually capped at 6-8 students for GCSE, and 4-6 for A Level. Classes are set by ability to increase their effectiveness.
Sessions include:
Retrieval quizzes….Kahoots; race up the mountain on Quizzzz; google form quiz.
Content Mastery… .we explore tricky topics together, using engaging graphics and discussion
Exam Skills…..we dissect exam technique and apply our knowledge to lots of exam questions with emphasis on how to get full marks! Each student gets feedback on their answers via an interactive whiteboard.
